c. Choir’s Leader Retreat

During the March holiday, the choir committee came together for a Choirs’ Leader Retreat.

This is a necessary for the leaders to step back, reflect on what went well and the challenges they faced and how to move forward.

Here is a reflection from Elizabeth pf 3A

My past experiences in choir so far had been a blast!

Due to the covid-19 that has hit us hard, it was quite challenging for all CCA members to sing together this year.

However, the teachers/conductor and leaders had put in much time and effort to ensure that all choristers are still able to be on task for the approaching SYF.

There were numerous ways for us to go on with the CCA, so that we could practice singing together, harmonies as one and forge bonds with our CCA mates.

Using online platforms for CCA and practicing with our respective groups has indeed helped me learn more.

As this way of CCA is foreign, there were undoubtedly many obstacles needed to be overcome, but the choir has emerged from it stronger and better as a whole.

Admittedly, I would say that the experiences I have gained from choir has never fail to provide me with newer, fresher and cooler insights. ‘Family is like music, some high notes, some low notes, but always a beautiful song.’

This surely depicts what MFSS choir is, right?
